Have you ever wondered how your testing policy of employment can be used to reduce workplace violence? Why not try adopting a zero tolerance approach to violence and theft at work? This can have a dramatic effect on the attitude of employees and their rejection of any person with a violent or aggressive personality.
If your company does not take a vigorous approach to eliminate workplace violence, you may find you guilty, if not negligent hiring, then certainly not to protect your workforce from aggressive behavior and violent. This type of violence can be very costly in terms of lost hours and even loss of valuable employees who decide that enough is enough.

The interview should reinforce the zero degree of political violence at work, and when applicable, this policy must be applied firmly, without agreements on testing of three months for good behavior. Person with aggressive tendencies should be employed.
You can apply your own rules that you use as long as your employment screening procedure is not based on race, religion, age or sex. You do not have to employ a person with a history of aggression or violence, and if you're serious about your policy, you should not do.
Any candidate who has something to hide in their past may be discouraged demand, and bear in mind that the employment screening process is designed you avoid being negligent hiring and protecting existing employees. This will result in greater productivity your employees, and less chance that you could face a claim for negligent hiring.
You should also apply zero tolerance to your existing workforce. Penalties for workplace violence must be clearly displayed on billboards, and, where appropriate, discussed with the unions. It is a problem which requires a vigorous approach and you should be aware that if this is a problem you have in your company, and you fail to do proper response, you could find yourself on the end of a lawsuit for damages if one of your employees refuse to put up with violence, no more. This could also lead to a case of negligent hiring.
