The Internet is full of scams, and they eventually end up in your e-mail box. The ingenuity of these people is astonishing. Their goal is usually to make you click on an e-mail attachment, so they can infect your computer with a virus, a tracking cookie, and / or horse Troy.

• Anti-scam Rule 2: Never double-click on an e-mail attachment that contains an executable file, as an EXE, COM or VBS suffix. Once you click on an executable can do any kind of damage it wants. It's so awful it's funny, but after the scammers have used your address stolen thousands of scam, they have one of the scams to roll up their sleeves. That is the message they sent me:

"Your email account was used to send a huge amount of spam during this week. Obviously, your computer was compromised and now contains a trojan proxy server. Please follow the instructions in the text file attached to keep your computer safe.

Sincerely yours,
The foodandfiction.com team. "

My first thought was: "How Nice. These people are friendly my problem and want help. "And then I thought, 'Wait a minute! This message is supposedly the team foodandfiction.com. Food and Fiction, http://foodandfiction.com, it's me, me, me, and I never sent this message. "Of course, if my e-mail was, for example, AOL, the message was signed," the team AOL.com. I would have thought the dear folks at AOL have tried to help me, and I have clicked on the attachment. This was obviously a scam, not AOL, and would have infected me.
