THE READER IS KINDLE As Good As AMAZON SAID IT? - AND WHAT ABOUT THE COMPETITION?
With the recent release of e-book reader Amazon Kindle ebook reader Sony face some competition in this new market and keep warm. Interestingly, most reviewers either love or hate it - it does not seem to be any middle ground, although it has some really neat features. While many of the complaints seem be the place where buyers have a specific need, the Kindle does not offer this feature.
In fairness, if you need some something specific then make sure it can do it!. Users, while generally hating the design, really love the functionality Kindle the reader in that the navigation buttons are on both side to left or right handed people can use with ease. The display, a 6 "E Ink ® diagonal electronic paper display, 600 x 800 pixels at 167 dpi, 4 levels of gray scale that uses E Ink () although converted electronically trying to emulate newsprint and can be easily read in direct sunlight without the glare associated with normal PC screens. The QWERTY keyboard is used to control and enjoy Whispernet technology for downloading and surfing - is a direct connection has not need or ISP WiFi hotspots. The battery, which takes about two hours to download will give you a reading week, but much less if you download, but should last about 2 days.
You have access to Wikipedia, about 250 top blogs and a host of newspapers. The fact that only the size of a book pocket and weighs only 10.3 ounces with a capacity of 200 pounds means you'll never be short of reading material and the font size easily adjustable you can find a comfortable reading level based on the atmosphere around you. It does not include a backlit screen though so if, like me, you enjoy reading in bed you will still juggling around the torch!

In comparison, the Sony ebook readers do not benefit e-ink screen and may be more difficult to read in certain lighting conditions, but it does give you easier access a wider range and cheaper e-books.
So if you buy one? - If the price tag higher do apply to you and you're one of "Gotta Have's", then you've probably already decided that he should be on your list - personally I look at some alternatives and expect not only greater, which will probably be much cheaper anyway, but some of the niggling problem areas may well have been sorted.
